Read moreWith respect to Miguel Sanchez’ letter to the editor, it’s extremely disappointing that neither Mr. Streigl, Ms. Hasty, Ms. Leith, Ms. Briscoe, Ms. Skogland, or Mr. Mata chose to respond themselves and defend their actions. I’m sure they have good reasons for staying silent. One may be, they don’t have a defense for their actions.

Read moreI want to thank Mr. Haueter for having the courage to expose the questionable behavior of our current Bandera County Republican “leadership.” They continue to deflect from and ignore the “elephant” in the room and that is the nagging question- how did they pay for the attorneys in the lawsuits they’ve lost? Are they using party money? Why won’t they allow an independent audit? Did anyone else notice the way the GOP meeting format avoided the opportunity for me to get my questions answered? No REAL update to the GOP finances was given and the agenda was not followed. I found it interesting that, since the CEC members backs were to the audience, we couldn't see how they voted. But hey, were all about transparency, right?
