Friday night rodeo winners named

The top finishers in 10 events at the Riding on Faith Bandera Rodeo from Friday, June 28, have been released.

The rodeo also held a breakaway roping competition that night, but none of the competitors had a qualifying time.

Those who finished in the top places of their event, along with their scores or times and the prize money they earned follow:

-          In the senior mini-bullriding competition, Tonka Hamilton finished first, with a score of 60 and $154 in winnings;

-          in the junior mini-bullriding competition, TJ Jewell finished first, with a score of 65 and $269 in winnings;

-          in mutton bustin’, Emma Grant finished first with a score of 73, Kazleigh Stubblefield finished second with a score of 70, Torque Hamilton finished third with a score of 69 and Beaux Konvicka finished fourth with a score of 63;

-          in tie-down roping, Krystin Gunels finished first with a time of 9.20 seconds and winnings of $126;

-          in team roping, open jackpot, Briley Lackey and Tom Wren won with a time of 5.66 seconds and winnings of $720;

-          in open barrels, Robin Montague finished first with a time of 17.855 seconds and winnings of $168, and Billie Reeves finished second with a time of 18.167 seconds;

-          in junior barrels, Cecily Hicks finished first with a time of 18.481 seconds and winnings of $164, and Sydney Reed finished second with a time of 19.175 seconds and winnings of $109;

-          in bullriding, L.C. Henning finished first with a score of 74 and winnings of $555;

-          in No. 10 team roping slack, David Valenzela and Colton Johnson finished first with a time of 5.11 seconds and winnings of $370, and Cameron Fox and David Valenzela finished second with a time of 5.46 seconds and winnings of $246;

-          in open team roping slack, David Valenzela and Tucker Wren won first with a time of 7.03 seconds and winnings of $616.

The rodeo series will be held on Friday nights through Aug. 2 at the park. Admission is $10 for anyone over 6 years of age.  Those under six get in for free.
