The Bandera Lady Bulldogs met the Lady Texans of Wimberley on Friday, Oct. 16, in Bandera in an exciting match of power volleyball.
During the first game of the match, the Lady Texans found the holes in Bandera’s defense and capitalized on them to win the game 25 to 13. Consistent serves by the Lady Texans also played a role in the win.
During game two, Bandera found its comeback hustle and surged ahead due to the power serves of Stella Brown and heads up play by setter Georgia D’Spain.
The Lady Bulldogs pulled ahead to win 25 to 23.
During the third game of the match up, both teams brought the heat, with Bandera sophomore Summer Haby supplying some unbelievable saves to shut down the Lady Texans’ spikes.
After a tough fought battle, Bandera dropped the game to Wimberley 22 to 25.
With Wimberley leading in the match two games to Bandera’s one, the Lady Bulldogs showed strong teamwork but could not overcome Wimberley’s powerful performance at the service line.
The Bulldogs dropped the fourth game of the match 21 to Wimberley’s 25.
The Lady Bulldogs will be in play again on Friday, Oct. 23, against the Canyon Lake Hawks at Canyon Lake High School.
