The Bandera Lady Bulldogs soccer team finished their season with a 5-0 loss against Fredericksburg last Monday, March 15.

Fredericksburg jumped ahead in the first half of the game, with the score at halftime clocking in at 3-0.

The Bulldogs tightened up defensively in the second half, only allowing two points, but the team was unable to respond offensively. Jasmine Thane was a defensive highlight for the team, racking up 26 saves by the game’s end.

The team concluded the season with a 3-10-1 overall record.

Their 0-9-1 district record resulted in the team finishing last of the six teams in district play, placing behind the 1-6-3 Davenport.

Boerne finished first in the district with a 9-0 record, followed by Wimberly with a record of 6-3-1.

Elsewhere in district rankings, Fredericksburg finished 5-3-2, and Canyon Lake finished 4-4-2.

Outgoing seniors on the Lady Bulldogs team included Halle Rios and Courtney Dowda. The majority of the team’s players are freshmen and sophomores, with five juniors on the team who would play as seniors next year, should they return for another season.
