Tyler Hensley was named Texas High School Athlete of the Week for April 17-23.Hensley is a senior at La Vernia High School and son of Chris Hensley, 1992 Bandera graduate and1997 Little All-American Linebacker at Texas A&M Kingsville University.Hensley earned a win on the mound in the Bears’ 10-0 victory against Gonzales after throwing 3 strikeouts in a six-inning shutout.He was also 4-for-6 at the plate hitting (.667 AVG) with three RBIs, two runs scored, two extra-base hits, two walks, a triple, a double and a .750 On Base Percentage in a 12-1 win against Gonzales as well.
