Bobcats aiming for playoffs

Medina ran over McDade 56-26 on the road Friday, Oct. 29, to bring their record 3-0 in the league and 4-4 overall.

“The team played well and is in position to play for the district title Friday night versus Nueces Canyon,” said Head Football Mark Coley.

The Bobcats will be on the road for that important game.

Wyatt Boatman went 13-16 for 267 yards and 5 touchdowns. He also had one six-yard carry.

Nate Aguilar led the team in rushing with eight carries for 69 yards and two touchdowns. Aguilar also had five catches for 83 yards and another three touchdowns.

Elsewhere on offense, TJ DeLeon had one carry for 19 yards and one touchdown, Britton Wickham had two catches for 45 yards and two touchdowns and Dawson Simons led the team in receiving yards with 3 catches for 47 yards.

Simons led the team in tackles, bringing down nine in total, while Aguilar brought down seven. Boatman, who also had a 60-yard kickoff return, brought down five.
