Moore takes bronze in hurdles

Bandera High School senior Tyler Moore placed third in the 110-meter hurdle race during state competition in Austin last Thursday.

Moore finished with a time of 14.52, behind Hamshire-Fannett’s John Sanderson (14.28) and Kilgore’s Matthew Tyeskie (13.99).

Moore also finished fourth in the 300-meter hurdle race with a time of 38.68.

The top three finishers in that race were Tyeskie in third with a time of 38.43, Sweetwater’s Harrison Foster in second with a time of 38.43 and Celina’s Grant Williams with a time of 37.30.

Junior Braden Cox also traveled to Austin to compete in the 1600-meter run at the state level. He finished ninth with a total time of 4:39.75.

The top three finishers in that race were Micah Swann of Athens with a time of 4:25.07, Hudson Bennett of Burnet with a time of 4:19.83 and Angel Sanchez of Fort Worth Diamond Hill-Jarvis with a time of 4:18.86.
