Your County Republican Party was Reborn
I’m proud to announce that an extremely important event occurred on 14 July 2022 at 6 PM – YOUR Bandera County Republican Party was reborn! As required by the Republican Party of Texas, the first meeting of your new Bandera County Republican Party County Executive Committee (CEC) held its Organizational Meeting. This event was graced by current and former Representatives from the Republican Party of Texas and the Texas State Executive Committee, all of which commended our county on what a great event it was and how important you are to Bandera County and the State of Texas. After the rebirth of YOUR County Republican Party, the new County Chair and members of the County Executive Committee immediately went to work. Some of the important work your new CEC attended to was to appoint Precinct Chairs for two vacant Precincts, making up a full CEC for the first time in many years.
This will greatly enhance your County Party and will ensure every part of the county has representation. However, the most important item on the agenda was the vote to adopt new BYLAWS. Congratulations! Your voices were heard, and the County Executive Committee put in countless hours strengthening your bylaws. These new bylaws put you, the voter, in control of your party. Gone are the days where the County Chair has final say on all matters and arbitrarily decides what is best for you. Now YOU, the voter, decides; you, the voter dictates the actions and course your local party will take. But the war isn’t over. We are fighting for the very existence of our way of life. Our next major battle will occur in a short four months, with the November mid-term election. We must fight to take back the U. S. House and Senate and it will take all of us, working together toward that common goal! You may be wondering what this new ‘baby’ looks like and how he will behave. For starters, all mudslinging and character assassination must STOP. The voters decide, not the bureaucracy. No more backroom deals. There will be complete openness and transparency within our Grand Old Party. How will this ‘baby’ behave? Before the GOP website was handed over (returned) to the new Bandera County Republican Party, it was wiped clean of all data, files and contacts. This will not deter this new youth. A new website is already under construction and will be up and running in a few weeks. Once the website is up, we ask that you return to it and input your data again, then ask your friends and neighbors to do the same. How will this website differ from the old one you ask? Its aim will be openness and flow of information that will allow you, the voter, to make INFORMED decisions, not some bureaucrat’s opinion trying to dictate how you should think and vote. This is now YOUR website. This site will contain the ‘birth certificate’ of this new baby - the new BYLAWS. It will contain ALL meeting agendas and meeting minutes so you can see exactly what is transpiring in your party. It will give you the tools to chart the course you want your county to take. This is a complete change in the management philosophy of your county party. It will now be what the Republican Party was designed to be: a grassroots, bottom-up organization; the party you said you wanted, the party you voted for.
This transition in management won’t be without some bumps. There are some folks in the county that cling to the old ways and have said more than once that they know what’s best for you. This ‘baby’ needs your help if he is to flourish and grow. You must nurture him, care for him and help him grow into a David so that he may lead us in battle against the Goliaths, as we fight for our life, liberty and freedom.
As with all youth, education must occur for them to thrive. To that end, the articles in the coming weeks will be education/information focused. You will learn and develop an understanding of how your party is organized and functions at each level. Once this process is complete you will know and understand how your county party is supposed to act and function; if it does not, remove it. This is your ‘baby’.
I’m asking for you to get engaged and stay engaged to make your county the best it can be. I thank you for being a Republican and a Conservative, but more importantly, I thank you for being a Patriot. Together, we can keep government from further intruding into our lives and eroding our rights, we can protect our children and our way of life, and together, we can win this fight!
