The Medina High School Family, Career and Community Leaders Chapter, are sponsoring one of 1,200 nationwide sites participating in the Wreaths Across America program Saturday, December 19, at the Medina Oak Rest and the West Prong Cemeteries.
This ten-year-old volunteer program is designed to remember fallen veterans by laying a wreath on their headstone, expressing thanks and honor to their service, as well as to emphasize the value of patriotism and democracy.
Funds are raised through the purchase wreaths ($15 to sponsor a single wreath). Volunteers then place the wreath at the gravesite in remembrance.
