LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

I applaud Mr. Gary Moore’s column, “Uvalde”, in last week’s Bulletin. I know that I am not alone in saying that people are going to have to start speaking out and speaking to their elected officials to take long overdue serious steps to remedy the epidemic of gun violence that is sucking the life out of our Nation’s future…our children. As Mr. Moore states, we, as grown-ups must solve this problem. Feeling hopeless will not get us there. Everyday people are fed up. Millions are out there: Independents, Democrats, Republicans, Non-voters…giving voice and demanding that something be done to put in place reasonable gun safety legislation. And yes, this means Red Flag laws, raising the age of gun purchase to 21 years, sensible background checks, banning of assault weapons and ammunition. Call your legislators. We are not going to forget Uvalde.
