(Last) week, Bandera County Judge Richard Evans issued an emergency declaration that is ill-advised and in my opinion, illegal. As residents of Bandera County, we should expect better from our Commissioners’ Court. According to the orders contained in the declaration, Medina Lake County Park is closed. The declaration also says, “River crossings at state and county roads are closed to the public.” As Texans, we all have a duty to keep our communities safe.
