Does Innocence Matter Anymore?

I’m sure most Readers have seen or heard of the brouhaha over Disney cow-towing to the woke leftist ideology that is hell bent on sexualizing our children.

In case you haven’t heard, let me fill you in.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis recently signed into law a bill that would prohibit Florida teachers from teaching K-3rd grade children about sexual orientation and “gender identity.”

The far left woke crowd reacted immediately by staging protests and “queer rallies” to oppose the Governor.

Even more concerning, and in response to this, Disney Executives were recorded admitting that they purposely insert LGBTQ images and messaging into Disney entertainment! The New York Post reported last week, “During a Disney staff meeting about the law — which bars Florida teachers from discussing topics like sexual orientation or gender identity with students unless they’re in the fourth grade or higher — executive producer for Disney Television Animation Latoya Raveneau touted Disney’s efforts to feature LGBTQ storylines.

“In my little pocket of Proud Family Disney TVA, the showrunners were super welcoming . . . to my not-at-all-secret gay agenda,” Raveneau said in a leaked video obtained by journalist Christopher Rufo. “Maybe it was that way in the past, but I guess something must have happened . . . and then like all that momentum that I felt, that sense of ‘I don’t have to be afraid to have these two characters kiss in the background.’”

“I was just, wherever I could, adding queerness,” Raveneau added. “No one would stop me, and no one was trying to stop me.”

What you probably didn’t hear about in the MSM is the larger number of Disney employees and Florida citizens, namely parents, who celebrated De-Santis actions and condemned Disney.

These people are the moms, dads, grandmas, grandpas, and others who simply want Disney entertainment to do just that. Entertain. Disney, since its inception, has been a trusted source of childhood entertainment. Not one Disney movie or Disney character ever broached the subject of sexual orientation or “gender identify” until recently. Why? Because children don’t think about, nor should they be taught to think about anything sexual! They are children! They deserve a childhood free from sexual thoughts or any other thoughts that distinctly constitute adulthood.

As a mom and now a grandma I know how fleeting childhood is. We only have a few short years to instill innocence and wonder in these little minds. Each child will have plenty of years ahead of them where they will have to deal with the adult realities of life.

What is so wrong with just giving them a childhood - and protecting their innocence for as long as possible?

Shame on Disney and shame on every single person who is trying to steal the innocence of childhood.

They should not only be criminalized for this behavior they should be designated as what they really are - perverts.

I’m not afraid to say that and I hope you aren’t either. We are literally in a battle for the hearts and minds of the innocent. Don’t retreat. This is the time to stand up and fight with all our might to protect innocence. If you haven’t alreadycall the Disney offices or write a letter. Even better, cancel and divest of anything Disney until they get their act together. Be a warrior for the innocent. Innocence and childhood do matter, and our children and grandchildren need us to make it matter.

Some would say the world would be a much better place if we kept our innocence and never let go of the wonder and simplicity of childhood. In fact, the creator of the “Wonderful World of Disney” and the “Happiest Place on Earth”, Walt Disney himself, championed this very sentiment when he once famously said, “That’s the real trouble with the world, too many people grow up.”
