Editor’s Note: The following is an election announcement from a local candidate. The Bulletin grants local candidates an election announcement free of charge, with all following election materials charged an ad fee. Thisi particular announcement was charged a fee to run in color.

Hello Bandera, my name is Darcy Hasty and I am running for Republican Chair of Pct. 305. Some of you may recognize my name for one or more of several reasons. You could recognize my name because I currently serve as your current Republican Chair for Pct. 305 (since 2019) These reasons may also include my volunteerism in and around Bandera County whether it be with the food distributions at Mansfield Park, with the various Bandera Lions Club activities, the Republican Headquarters, I served on the Bandera Economic Development Corporation and I currently serve on your Bandera City Council as well as the board for the Hill Country Regional Public Defender's Office.

Unlike my opponent, I have been an extremely active member of the Republican Party of Bandera County. I have block walked on behalf of Republican candidates, to include President Donald Trump. I've phone banked for Republican members of the US Congress, attend GOP and Bandera Republican Women meetings (and serve or have served as a board member on each, respectively), I started the Hill Country Young Republicans (which I have now aged out of), I've served as a deputy voter registrar in both Bandera and Medina Counties, I volunteer as an election clerk and election judge (since 2019), I served on the platform committee during the 2020 Republican convention, I served as a delegate to the Texas Republican Convention in 2020 and will be going to serve as a delegate again this year. None of these activities are paid positions. In fact, these activities come at a financial cost to me and at times quite the emotional cost as well. It is all worth it to fight for the conservative way of life in Bandera County and I will continue to do just that should I get your vote as Pct. 305 Chair for the Republican Party again and that has been proven with my dedication to the Party time and time again.

In addition to my volunteerism and dedicated work on behalf of the Republican Party, I regularly work closely with other elected officials from around the State due to my job. I am incredibly privileged to be able to represent Bandera County, the City of Bandera and the Republican Party. I would appreciate your vote to allow me to continue my work as your precinct chair!
