Greetings from Dan’s Movie Corner, where, at the end of each month, I’ll give an update on what stood out from what I’ve watched.
I started off the month with “Mel Brooks: Unwrapped,” a 2018 HBO doc from Alan Yentob, a BBC journalist who combined all of his interviews with the 94-year-old Oscar winner. Yentob employs a loose, time-jumping structure that I don’t think is effective, but the documentary is worth it to see Mel hang with Carl Reiner.
