Who would have thought that after the excitement of seeing the Bandera, Lakehills and Pipe Creek communities come together at the 2020 Back to School Bash in Lakehills on Aug. 2, that the following week would keep getting better...but it did. Organizers of the bash said while they had a wonderful turnout on Aug. 2, the coronavirus pandemic did reduce the numbers attending, leaving the Hill Country Samaritans, a key sponsor of the bash, with some extra school supplies to distribute. Five hundred and twenty-five of the 700 backpacks with school supplies were distributed at the Lakehills event and about 30 more ...
