Friday, Dec. 6 The monthly Knights of Columbus Fish Fry will be held at St. Joseph’s Hall, on the corner of Cedar and 7th streets in Bandera, beginning at 5 p.m. Proceeds from the sale support the efforts of the Knights of Columbus chapter at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church.

FatBoyz Sandwich Shop will host its monthly classic car, motorcycle and refurbished vehicle show called Cruise In beginning about 5 p.m. The free event is held in the parking lot in front of FatBoyz, which is at 610 Highway 16 South in Bandera. Food will be available at the sandwich shop.

Friday, Saturday, Dec. 6-7 The Bandera United Methodist Church’s Cut-Ups’ annual Christmas Bazaar will be held from 4-9 p.m. on Friday and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday at the church’s Fellowship Hall, 1103 Cedar St.in Bandera. It will feature a variety of handmade gifts, including a quilt that people will be able to bid on by donation. A soup lunch also will be available on Saturday. Proceeds from the event benefit the Cut-Ups, which is the ladies’ crafts group at the church.

The 39th annual Shopper’s Jubilee returns to downtown Bandera with longer shopping hours, discounts and holiday plates of Christmas delicacies at various downtown merchants along with strolling Christmas carolers and Cowboy musicians on Friday, starting at 4:30 p.m. In addition, a Living Nativity scene, a reading of the Christmas Story and performances by choirs will take place in front of the Bandera County Courthouse in the 500 block of Main Street. A colorful Christmas Parade will roll down Main Street on Saturday beginning at 11 a.m., and a drawing for cash prizes will be held on the courthouse grounds at 4 p.m. The Bandera Business Association is presenting the free holiday celebration again. The courthouse grounds will be lit in its Christmas finery for the event, and then Christmas Trail of Lights in Bandera City Park also will be open for touring through the month.

Saturday, Dec. 7 The Friends of the Library at the Bandera County Public Library will hold its monthly book sale to raise funds to support library activities. Books, magazine and other excess and donated items will be available for sale by donation only. It run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. inside the library, at 515 Main St. in Bandera.

Christmas decorations, baked goods, jewelry and White Elephant items will be among the merchandise available for purchase at the Medina United Methodist Women’s annual Christmas Bazaar at the church’s Fellowship Hall from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Breakfast and brunch items also will be sold at the bazaar, and Santa will make a visit from 10 a.m. to noon. The church is at 263 Reed Ave. in Medina.

The American Legion Auxiliary Craft and Bake Sale will be held at the Bandera American Legion Post 157 hall beginning at 10 a.m. Handcrafted gifts and baked goods will be available for sale. Proceeds from table rentals and from the bake sale will go towards cancer research. The hall is located at 205 12th St. in Bandera.

The Lakehills Civic Center will hold its 8th annual Children’s Christmas Party at the civic center from 2-5 p.m. The free event will feature games for youngsters, demonstrations of pottery making, candle making, wood working and other skills, Christmas carols, visits with Santa and a chance to tour a Snow Village Scene set up especially for the party. Holiday treats and gifts for youngsters also will be available. The civic center is at 11225 Park Road 37 in Lake-hills.

Saturday, Sunday, Dec. 7-8 Country Accents Antiques will hold its 28th annual Christmas Open House and Storewide Sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. In addition to the sales, door prizes will be available as will a chance to win a $100 gift certificate. Food catered by the Backyard Bistro will be served through the day Saturday, the Lloyd Bonham Band will perform from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, and a wine tasting hosted by Singing Waters Vineyard will be held from 1-3 p.m. Sunday. The store is located at 8312 Highway 16 South outside Pipe Creek.
