William Louis (W.L.) Dunbar, 83, of Pipe Creek, TX, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2022, surrounded by family. W.L. grew up in Center Point, TX, a town in which he had many fond memories. He was born to Louis Edward (L.E.) and Inez Dunbar on December 4, 1938. He married the love of his life, Delilah Faye Dunbar on June 12, 1959, and they spent 62 beautiful years together. W.L. retired from Enron as a lab and field technician. He was also a veteran and served in the U.S. Army.

W.L. enjoyed spending all his time outside. He was a skilled craftsman with a brilliant mind. He could always be found with his head in a book or out enjoying a cup of coffee with friends. W.L. had a mischievous sense of humor with a heart of gold inside. He loved Faye’s good cooking and all the simple things in life. He will be remembered for his devotion to his wife, his ethics of hard work, and his perseverance to the end. He will be dearly missed.

W.L. was predeceased by his grandson, Khierren McFall. He is survived by his wife, Faye Dunbar; his three children, Tina McFall, Timothy Dunbar (Meghan), and Tammy Neal (Cody); his sister, Nezlee Barton; grandchildren, Jarrell Brown, Azrael Munroe (Geoff), Serenity Neal, and Cooper Dunbar, and his great-granddaughter, Lenna Munroe.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on February 26, 2022, at Center Point Cemetery. Flowers can be sent to Grimes Funeral Chapel of Bandera (1214 Mulberry St., Bandera, TX, 78003).
