Robert Joseph Klein, 88, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2020 in Pipe Creek, Texas due to complications of pulmonary fibrosis.
He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on Aug. 18, 1931 to Adolf and Juanita Klein.
Robert graduated from St. Paul’s High School in 1948 and was a Boy Scout.
Robert was also in the National Guard in Louisiana and served two years in Korea from 1953 to 1955 and eight years in the Army Reserves.
He attended LSU in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where he met and married his first wife, Trudy and had four children: Bobby, Joey, Heidi and Kerry, and one stepson, Larry.
He then met his second wife, Lee and they married in 1976 and moved to Texas.
Bob worked in sales most of his life and retired in 1998 from Hollywood Crawford Door Co. in San Antonio, Texas.
He then worked at the pawn shop in Bandera for about 10 years and had a space in the Pipe Creek Flea Market.
He also loved going to Arkey Blue’s Silver Dollar in Bandera, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers A.G., George and Billy; sisters Carol, Barbara and Joanie; son Joey and step-daughter Barbara.
Robert is survived by his wife, Lee, brothers Jimmy, Dennis, Timmy and Danny, a sister, Juanita, children Bobby, Heidi, Kerry and Larry, step-children Deborah and Danny, grandchildren Rachel, Keri, Sasha, Chris, Angel and Jason, step-grandchildren Kelli, Kenny, Travis, Dillon and Deja and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at Grimes Funeral Chapels in Bandera, Texas with military honors.
