Patricia Ann Moss, wife of Oliver “Jinks” Moss and mother of Melinda Bryson, Bruce Moss, and Brian Moss, died at the age of 83 after a brief illness on June 2, 2022, in Hondo Texas.

Patricia started her relationship with Jinks in Louisiana at Sulphur High School. He was a football star, and she was chosen for the Homecoming Court. They married after college on August 3, 1958, which was the beginning of their 64-year marriage.

Patricia’s parents, Bruce and Lorena “Jerry” Morgan and her grandmother Clemence Jennings were central to helping her grow into a kind-hearted, socially conscious woman. She was also blessed to grow up surrounded by aunts, uncles, and cousins. Throughout her adult life, Patricia focused on her role as wife and mother. She was a person of faith and took seriously the teachings of that faith. Her beauty never faded, and those meeting her for the first time were quick to note it. Patricia and Jinks had many dear friends from their time spent living in Sulphur, LA, and Lumberton, Kerrville, and Hondo, TX.

Patricia lived life fully and ended her days at their home, Last Chance Ranch, located outside of Hondo, TX. She and Jinks raised Texas Longhorn cattle, which she adored. A typical Nana, she doted on their grandchildren, Kristin, and Garrett Bryson (children of Melinda and Keith Bryson), Hannah and Hayden Moss (children of Bruce and Gina Moss), and greatgranddaughters Raynee and Emilia Bryson (children of Garrett and Haley Bryson).

Patricia is survived by her husband Jinks, their children Melinda, Bruce, and Brian; son in law Keith Bryson and daughter in law Gina Moss; her four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; brother Larry Bruce and wife Wendy of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; brother Walter Odus Lee Morgan and wife Susan of Dripping Springs, Texas; six nieces and nephews, and brother-in-law Tommy Moss and wife Gail of Huntsville Texas.

A memorial service will be held at 11am Saturday, June 25, 2022, at Tarpley Baptist Church, 141 Valentine Ln, Tarpley Tx 78883.
