Helen M Davis, 97, of Bandera, passed away on July 20, 2020 in San Antonio, Texas.

She was born in Giddings, Texas to James and Selma Stueber on May 26, 1923. Helen was the 7th of 10 children.

Helen graduated from Giddings High School. She worked as a bookkeeper for Corigan Jewelry for 25 years.

She was a veteran of World War II and served in the U.S. Navy. She was member of the Methodist Church.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joseph W. Davis, her daughter Margaret Runquist, six sisters and three brothers.

Helen is survived by her daughter Linda Scruby, granddaughter, Karen Castor, grandson, Reed Scruby and spouse Tomeika, and great-granddaughter, Taylor Scruby.

Visitation was on Friday, July 24, from 3 - 4:45 p.m. at Grimes Funeral Chapels, Bandera, Texas.

Graveside services were held Saturday, July 25, at Noon at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Columbus, Texas, with Jeff Bishop of Riding the River Cowboy Fellowship officiating.

Memorial may be given to Helping Hands or the Boys and Girls Clubs of Bandera.
