Gail Bowie, age 74, of Gonzales, Texas passed away on Mother’s Day May 8th, 2022 in Pipe Creek, Texas. She was born in Ewa, Hawaii to Emmett and Betty Edwards on March 13, 1948. She married William Bowie on December 21, 1968 in Gonzales, Texas.

She graduated from Gonzales High School in 1966 and began a career of clerical and desktop publishing. She spent the majority of her career as a Temporary Agent for NASA subcontractors in Webster Texas. She was an avid volunteer at a local church operated thrift store until moving to Pipe Creek. Travel was always an adventure which she and her family shared during many camping expeditions. But her most cherished memory of travel was a two week trip to Egypt. Even though such outings were cherished, her greatest joys were her family, her cats and her rocks.

Gail is preceded in death by her parents Emmett and Betty Edwards. She is survived by her husband William Bowie, son William Royce Bowie, daughter Marie Mitchell, son Robert Russell Bowie, as well as, her sister, Sue Edwards Burkhart, and grandchildren, Taylor Mitchell, Leo Mitchell, Gideon Bowie, and Luke Bowie.

Visitation will be held at Grimes Bandera Funeral Chapel in Bandera, Texas on May 20, 2022, from 5-7 p.m. and a Memorial Service will be held at Pipe Creek Presbyterian on May 21, 2022, at 10 a.m.
