ELMER LEE HEINEN JR.

Elmer Lee Heinen Jr. of Bandera, Texas passed away on August 13, 2022, at Bandera Nursing Home and Rehab in Bandera, Texas. He was born in Bandera, Texas on July 12, 1941, to Elmer Lee Heinen Sr., and Azliee Martha Causey. He went on to marry Lola Oranday in October 1989 in Bandera,

and went on to work at the Bandera Feed Store where he worked for many years, later working as a lineman for Bandera Electric Coop. He worked there for 22 years and retired in 2004. Elmer delivered minnows in the Bandera area for over 60 years. He delivered in the Hill Country/South Texas areas. He took great pride and loved doing that the most.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Lola Heinen; parents, Elmer and Azliee Heinen; and stepdaughter Judy Ann

He is survived by his son, Tommie Lee Heinen; brother, Jesse Heinen; stepsons, Johnny Pina, and Manuel Pina Jr. (Amelia); grandchildren, Richard Lee Heinen (Audrey), Sammi Jo Phelps (Nick), Sheila Pina, and Brandon Pina; great-grandchildren, Tristian Pina, Madison Phelps, Owen Phelps, and Dante Heinen.

Visitation will be held at Grimes Bandera Funeral Chapel on Friday, August 26, 2022, from 8:00am-10:00am followed by funeral services at 10:00am and interment to follow immediately afterwards at Bandera Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to River City Hospice.

The family of Mr. Elmer Lee Heinen Jr. would like to give a special thank you to the nursing staff at Bandera Nursing & Rehab and River City Hospice. A special thank you to Morgan Boucier and Billy Thomas for their kindness and compassion.
