He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Dowlearn; his daughter, April Davis; son-in-law, Michael Davis; son, Stuart Williams; daughter-in-law, Miriam Williams; and his mother, Fairy Belle Hoppenrath.

He is also remembered fondly by his grandchildren, Jolie Estes, Jaynah Estes, Keith Davis, and Kaela Williams. He will also be missed by his many nieces, nephews and his extended family. He is preceded by his sisters, Patricia Lynne Dowlearn and Sharon Deaunn Alguire.

Dale spent his early life in Texas, before enlisting in the United States Army in October, 1970 and served in Vietnam as part of the 82nd Airborne Division. He served 3 years before receiving an honorable discharge. He maintained his veteran status as a member of the American Legion Post 489 in Leakey, TX.

He spent his early, post-military years working as a machinist in the oil field and as a warehouse foreman for Coastal ADS in Corpus Christi. He married Kathryn Gilleland Williams, the love of his life, on February 14, 1987, becoming the father of April Williams and Stuart Williams.

Dale will be remembered for his time working with children, starting with his work at Big Springs Charter School in Leakey, TX. He was the Food Services Director, dispensing food, love and humor in near-equal amounts. He spent his later years spreading the word of Jesus Christ through his living example while traveling with his wife, Kathryn. He ruthlessly spoiled his grandchildren with his unique brand of love and sticks of pink bubblegum.

He will be dearly missed by the world and his family.
