With 100 percent of counties reporting and 85 percent of polling locations reporting, Claudia Andreana Zapata has won the Democratic primary runoff election for the U.S. House District 21 Race.

With 63.53 of the vote as of 11:30 p.m. Tuesday night, Zapata declared victory over her opponent, Ricardo Villarreal, and will now face Republican incumbent Chip Roy in the Novemeber election.

Roy won his primary election last March with 83 percent of the vote.

"We are grateful for everyone who has helped in their own way," Zapata said in a statement Tuesday night. "We did this together. And together we will win in November."
