I’ve said before that I will never ask God to give me patience again because, instead of finding relief, the situation got more complicated. Instead of feeling myself growing more patient with the situation, God gave me more opportunities to practice patience. Not what I had in mind, but God knows better. Across the United States, regardless of our own political beliefs, we’re all being given an opportunity to practice patience: patience with each other, patience waiting for results of elections and legal disputes, patience as we wait to see what is going to happen next.
