Bandera resident Abelardo Garcia, age 30, was arrested and booked in Bandera County on May 6 following an alleged carjacking and two shootings, one of which occurred in Bandera County, according to a release from the U.S. Marshals Service. Investigators say Garcia shot someone during a carjacking, fleeing the scene and avoiding arrest in a high-speed police pursuit that ended in a crash around 5 a.m. on May 3 at San Antonio’s Twin Peaks Restaurant on De Zavala and Interstate 10.
