St. Victor’s Chapel cooking again

For a number of years, a popular Lakehills culinary event celebrating the opening of deer drew folks to St. Victor’s Chapel.

The Hunters Supper, a fundraising tool for the chapel, returned this year after being cancelled in 2020.

Church members cooked a turkey and a plethora of sides in one of the buildings on the chapel grounds.

Patrons could eat inside or pick it up.

Among the cooks of the Hunters Supper Turkey meals were Nelda Cooling, Lois Tymrak, Ruth Tschirtart, Maggie Pie, Dorothy Esquivel, and Joy Veneable.

“We are a mission church for St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Bandera. We were not able to have the Hunters Supper last year because of COVID-19, so we are really happy to do this again to serve our community,” said Gary Reile, the Church Finance Chairman.
