Superintendents at both the Medina Independent School District and the Utopia Independent School District said no new cases of COVID-19 had been detected there and school operations were fully functional again after being closed for a few days last month to avoid any problems after a single case of the virus was detected in each district.
Medina ISD Superintendent Kevin Newsom said in an Oct. 26 interview that no new cases of the virus had been detected on the Medina campuses after a positive case of COVID had arisen at the district’s administrative building in the prior week.
