The Bandera County Republican Women’s Club met at the American Legion Post 157 Hall on June 4 to hear Bandera County Election Administrator Gwenda Tschirhart talk about voter registration issues and other topics associated with the general election in November.
Tschirhart, a Bandera High School graduate and sixth generation Texan, said she expected to receive 800 absentee or mail in ballots for that election. She detailed the process used by a bipartisan committee to verify mail in ballots.
“We have never had a mail-in ballot rejected,” she said.
Applications to vote absentee are due to the elections office by 5 p.m. on Oct.
