The Medina High School Alumni Reunion will be held at noon on Saturday, Nov. 2, at the Medina school cafeteria, capping off the Homecoming Parade that will run through town beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
The annual parade in the past has featured a float carrying Medina’s Club 90 members, made up of former Medina students who have reached or exceeded the age of 90.
This year, Club 90 members have been given a special seating area under the big Live Oak tree in downtown Medina where they can bring a chair and watch the parade. Family and friends of club members also can watch the festivities from that area, officials said.
The reunion will honor those classes who graduated in years ending is “0s.” It is scheduled to take place in the cafeteria from noon to 2 p.m.
The school and the district’s administrative offices are at 1 Bobcat Lane in Medina.
Homecoming activities are scheduled through the week at the school, including Friday, Nov. 1, which has been designated School Spirit Day.
The homecoming football games also are on Friday against Nueces Canyon. The junior high teams will play at 5 p.m., and the varsity teams will face off against each other at 7:30 p.m. at Medina Stadium.
The coronation of the Homecoming Court will take place at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
