Mask mandate returns to county

Bandera County Emergency Management Center coordinator Carey Reed said Tuesday morning she was notified by Texas Department of State Health Services (TDHS) Region 8 that the county is no longer exempt from the mask mandate. Counties who report 30 or fewer cases in a rolling 14-day period are exempt from Governor Greg Abbott’s Executive Order GA-29, which outlines rules regarding public mask use. On Thursday, Dec. 3, Bandera County Emergency Management reported 43 active cases in the county.
