The death of a Lakehills man whose body was found in the woods near his home last week has been ruled a homicide, Bandera County Sheriff’s Department Chief Deputy Matt King said on Monday, Aug. 3. Daniel William Matthews’ body was discovered on July 28 by a family friend, King said. Matthews lived nearby in a home in the 500 block of Lakewood Drive that was owned by his mother, who resides in San Antonio.
