The Lakehills Area Library will put on a book sale on Saturday, Oct. 5, with plans to offer patrons special deals on all the items available at the sale.
The library’s book barn will be open during the sale, which raises money to benefit library operations. The sale will be held from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
On Monday, Oct. 7, the library’s Evening Book Club will meet to discuss “The Paper Wife” by Lila Ibraham. The public is invited to take part in club activities, which will start at 6 p.m.
The library offers a program called Storytime every Wednesday beginning at 10:30 a.m.
It’s a free program featuring games, songs and crafts based on preschool curriculum for youngsters ages 2-5, but youngsters of all ages are encouraged to take part.
Also, Yoga for All Ages is held every Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. It too is free, but participants are encouraged to bring a mat and water to stay hydrated.
On Oct. 10, the library located at 7200 FM 1283 in Lakehills is hosting a program put on by Tri-County Health, Visiting Angels and Alamo Hospice to address issues about home health, hospice and caregiver services.
It is scheduled to run from noon to 2 p.m. A lunch will be provided.
