Lakehills Area Library Update

Summer Reading is here!

This year’s theme is Tails & Tale,s and each week we are focusing on either a fairy tale or animals.

This week the kids are making dragons!

For the preschoolers, we have a dragon that blows flames, the elementary ages have paper chain dragons, and the older kids can make a tiny (very cool) beaded dragon with wings!

Next week, the kids will be making their very own creature, and if they want to make and submit a nature video of it to our YouTube channel, we would love to post them!

You can register for summer reading at the library and get your child’s reading log. When a child completes their log, they will be able to pick a prize from our prize box.

This is a great way to keep your child reading all summer long and have them prepared for school when it resumes in the fall. We have a huge selection of books for children of all ages, so come check them out!

The library First Saturday book sales have resumed. Our next sale is July 3rd from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. am-2pm.

Hardbacks for only $1.50, children’s books and soft covers are $.50! All money raised by our book sales goes to fund library programs and materials.

Live book club has resumed!

Book club will meet the second Tuesday of each month at 1pm. In July, they will be discussing Before We Were Yours by Lisa Wingate.

If you are interested, please come and join them to discuss this month’s book and choose the upcoming reads for discussion.
