Ken Denney Running for Precinct 102 Chair

Greeting friends. My name is Ken Denney and I’m running for the precinct 102 chair here in Bandera County. I’d like to give you a little information about me that may make you want to go out and vote, hopefully for me, but if not if you at least get out and cast a ballot I will have succeeded in my goal.
I was raised in southern Ohio and upon graduation from high school in 1977 I joined the Army. I served a tour as an infantryman and in 1981 left the enlisted ranks and went to flight school to be come a warrant officer and an attack helicopter pilot. I served on active duty for 23 years and in the reserves for another 17, finally retiring in 2017 to beautiful Pipe Creek. I had been stationed in Texas since 1992 and truly consider Texas as my home state. As you can imagine I’ve travelled the world. I’ve seen some wonderful places and some that were not quite so. But I learned a lot of things. We as Americans, including myself, have had a very blessed and easy life compared to many other around the world. I first learned the true value of a vote when I saw that the Iraqi’s dipped their finger in blue ink when they voted. It was a sign of joy and pride on their part. They also knew that there were some in their country who would persecute them, even kill them for exercising that influence on their future. That did not dissuade them and in fact fueled their desire and brought pride to all that participated.
Watching that on the news made see how we have taken this right, this divine gift for granted. We have stayed away from the polls or if we do cast a vote it’s more like making a selection of personalities in a popularity contest. I’m guilty of it my guess is a lot of us are. My mission, now that I’m retired...lol, is to try and do what I can to help reignite the fire of liberty and informed governance in our little niche in the hills. The changes we need in order for our republic to survive will start with us, locally, along with a few million of our friends doing the same thing in their local areas. So, there’s an election coming up, a chance to really have some influence on who you want to be representing you at many levels. There are amendments to the state constitution coming up and there is also a movement to call a convention of states very similar to 1789 where we will have an opportunity to reign in the runaway federal government and get back to true liberty. I’m going to do my part, I hope to see you at the polls.
