Justice of Peace, three others arrested for election fraud

Medina County Justice of the Peace Tomas Ramirez, Leonor Rivas Garza and Eva Ann Martinez turned themselves into the Bandera County Justice system on Feb. 11 following multiple charges of voter fraud following an investigation by the Texas Attorney General’s Election Fraud Unit. On Feb. 22, Mary Balderrama was arrested on similar charges. According to a release by the Attorney General Ken Paxton’s office, the charges for Ramirez, Garza and Martinez stemmed from an investigation of vote harvesting at assisted living centers in Medina County during the 2018 Medina County Election.
