As the saying goes, “No good deed goes unpunished,” and this adage was again proven true last month. On May 27, staff and volunteers from Bandera’s Helping Hand Crisis Center were busily distributing food supplies at Mansfield Park to aid Bandera County residents who had been adversely impacted by the harsh economic and social interaction measures taken to stem the transmission of the COVID-19 virus. Consequently, the Helping Hand Thrift Store and Food Pantry were closed that day.
