Grieving parents support group sets meeting

Posted in:

The Hill Country Compassionate Friends, Bereaved Parents Support Group will meet on Tuesday, May 26, at 6:30 p.m. in Ryan Hall at First Presbyterian Church, 800 Jefferson St. in Kerrville.

The Compassionate Friends support group is open to all bereaved parents, grandparents, and those who give emotional support to those who are grieving.

Participants have been asked to wear face masks at the meeting to abide by health and safety precautions implemented to fight the coronavirus pandemic. Social distancing guidelines also will be followed at the meeting, and the tables in the hall will be disinfected to keep participants safe.

Group officials said bereaved parents often cannot describe what they are experiencing as a result of the death of a child or children but find comfort from others in a support group who are experiencing the same feelings and can help cope with the indescribable loss.

For information about the group, please call Sue Endsley at 830-928-7745 or go online to www.compassionatefriends.org.
