Families in Bandera County have until Tuesday, June 30, to apply for more than $1 billion in pandemic food benefits available to qualifying children in Texas from families that temporarily lost access to free or reduced-price school meals because of school closures, officials said.
The Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer benefits, or P-EBT, financed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, are designed to provide eligible families with a one-time payment for each child who previously received free or reduced-price meals.
