False alarm triggers alert for schools

The Medina and Bandera independent school districts ratcheted up security safeguards on Thursday, Oct. 17, after hearing about a threat made against an unknown school in Texas, but the alleged threat was found to be untrue and conditions returned to normal without incident, authorities said. Bandera County Sheriff’s Department Chief Deputy Matt King said Medina ISD officials apparently learned about the alleged threat from officials at the Menard school district north of Junction.
