Elementary students demonstrate academic skills at competition

Students from both Hill Country and Alkek Elementary schools performed well at a University Interscholastic League academic competition on Jan. 25, finishing second overall and third overall respectively, Bandera Independent School District officials reported. The top finisher in the competition held in Llano was Fredericksburg Elementary, officials said.
