Early literacy event set in Medina

The Medina Community Library will host an Early Literacy Dinner for caregivers of younger children featuring a talk about ''quiet books'' by Misty DuValle on Thursday, Feb. 20.

It will be held from 5:30 - 7 p.m. at the library, 13948 Highway 16 North in Medina. Those planning to attend are asked to sign up at the library.

In addition, the Medina Wordsmiths will hold its monthly meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 25, at the library from 4-5 p.m. It gives writers an opportunity to read and critique each-others'writings and improve their writing skills in the process.

The library's Grief Share Support Group will meet on both Wednesday Feb. 19 and Feb. 26 at the library from 1:30 - 3 p.m.

Wednesdays also is the day that the library holds its Little Ones Story Time to have fun with youngsters from newborn to the age of 5 by singing, dancing and reading. That activity runs from 10:30 - 11 a.m. each Wednesday.

And don't forget that the library offers a free gentle yoga class every Tuesday and Friday.

The hour for the class on Tuesdays is 8:45 - 9:45 a.m., and on Friday's it's held from 9:45 - 10:45 a.m. Participants are asked to bring their own mats to the class.
