Changing the wording on the marquee in front of Pipe Creek Christian School has always been risky as someone had to stand on the top step of an eight-foot ladder to reach the top row of letters, school officials said. Recognizing the school’s need, Johnny Boyle, owner of Boyle’s Bandera Hardware and Lakehills’ True Value Hardware stores, donated a new, 12-foot step ladder to the school to eliminate the safety issue. Now, Pipe Creek Christian officials say the marquee can be changed easily without the fear of falling.
