Every year about this time, Bandera steals a little bit of Louisiana's culture by hosting a Cowboy Mardi Gras in the days before New Orleans'signature event. Some who have been to both ''Fat Tuesday'' celebrations say the cowboy one could be more fun for families. The mixture of cowboy and Cajun cultures creates a special wackiness that keeps visitors of all kind smiling.
