County holding drug take-back

The Bandera County Sheriff’s Office announced this week deputies will be on site at the Bandera County Courthouse and Lakehills Public Library for the DEA’s National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day on Saturday, April 30, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Hosted by the DEA in partnership with local law enforcements, The event is held twice a year nationwide in order to provide the public a place to dispose unwanted, unused and expired medicines.

Pills and capsules will be accepted during the event. These can be prescription or over-the-counter medications.

The DEA cannot accept liquids, sharps or needles.

Attendees will be expected to provide the medications in clear, sealed bags. Loose pills or capsules will not be accepted.
