In a 3-2 vote,where the tie was broken by Mayor Suzanne Schauman, Bandera City Council appointed Christine M. Morse to fill a vacant city council seat during a Dec. 3 meeting at Pioneer RV Park Recreation Hall in Bandera. Following remarks from the two other applicants, Robert L. Johnson and Alex Trey Zapata, a motion was made by Darcy Hastings to appoint Morse. Rebeca Gibson seconded the motion. Toni Kunz and Jerry Russe opposed the motion, bringing the vote to 2-2.
