Christian camp faces backlash over wastewater

Bandera Canyonlands Alliance is holding a meeting at the Senior Center in Utopia this Saturday, February 27, to outline their concerns over a Wastewater Pollutant Discharge permit for Young Life’s LoneHollow Ranch, located in Vanderpool. According to the alliance’s Save Our Sabinal campaign, the permit would allow the release of 60,000 gallons of treated wastewater each day into the Sabinal River. “Allowing this permit would affect not only the Sabinal River but the entire Nueces River Basin,” said Merry Langlinais of Save our Sabinal. “It sets a precedent that would allow others to follow suit, and possibly in a less controlled manner.” Stacey ...
