The year 2020 is another election year for a variety of Bandera County positions, but only three of the positions up for election will involve contests, unless write-incandidates appear at a later date, and all three of those will be in the Republican Primary.

Incumbents Precinct 1 and Precinct 3 county commissioners in Bandera County drew single opponents as did the incumbent Precinct 2 constable. All are Republicans, and no Democrats filed to run against that party’s nominee in November’s General Election, so the March 3 primary should decide the winner of each race, if no runoff is needed.

The candidates are Precinct 1 Commissioner Bruce Eliker, his opponent Troy Konvicka, Precinct 3 Commissioner Jack Moseley, his opponent Leanne Beauxbeannes, Precinct 2 Constable Ernest Reich III and his opponent Greg Spengler.

Each candidate was given the opportunity to compile campaign announcements of no more than 500 words to have run in the Bandera Bulletin. The announcements received as of Monday, Feb. 10, follow.
