Boerne Performing Arts releases 2021 schedule

Posted in:

Boerne Performing Arts is ready to start celebrating its 10th season of global entertainment for Boerne area audiences and for in-school matinees called FOR KIDS, which will begin on Jan. 30 with the high-energy, musical showcase called “Neil Berg’s 50 Years of Rock & Roll.”

The series actually will start on Dec. 10 with a special Christmas celebration performed by the Canadian Brass, which has entertained crowds on five continents and sold more than two million albums over the past 50 years, a news release about the lineup said.

But the Christmas show is scheduled as a special event, and tickets are currently available only to individuals who purchase 2021 season tickets for the three-show series.

Individual tickets for each of the four performances will go on sale Nov. 1, officials said.

After the rock & roll showcase in January, the National Dance Company of Siberia will come to Boerne to provide a show called “Dance the Night Away” on Feb. 26, and The Ten Tenors, a popular attraction at annual showcase, will return to Boerne with a new show called “Love is in the Air” on March 4.

Boerne Performing Arts officials said they again searched the globe to find a variety of entertainment that would appeal to every age group and believe they accomplished that with this series.

“Our goal is to find something for everyone,” said BPA Board President Carol Schultz.

Thanks to the continued financial support by BPA patrons and corporate sponsors, season ticket prices will remain at the same price this year as last. Season ticket packages for the series are available as follows:

Patron: $170 (individuals wanting to purchase premium seating that includes a donation);

Subscribers: $100 - $75 - $50 (for students);

Corporate Sponsorships: Include marketing and advertising opportunities for businesses.

Officials said to date, the performances have drawn full houses to the auditorium at Boerne Champion High School where the events are held and have entertained more than 26,000 Boerne Independent School District students in the FOR KIDS performances.

Previews of these world-class performing artists scheduled are available at www.BoernePerformingArts.com, where you also can download a 2021 Season Ticket Order Form for the three-concert series and special event.
