October is officially the Hill Country Night Sky Month. The Bandera County Public Library is teaming up with the Bandera County Friends of the Night Sky and the Nature Conservancy to raise awareness of our beautiful dark skies and how to protect them.
The Friends are hosting a quilt block contest in conjunction with the night sky celebration. You can pick up the contest rules and an entry form at the library, at 515 Main St. in Bandera.
We are also hosting a night-sky themed rock painting party for kids 12 and under. The rock painting party will be on Tuesday, Oct.
